Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions Answered

Common questions answered for your convenience.

Question 1: How do you get paid?

We are typically paid a commission by the insurance carrier when you enroll in a plan. This means there is no cost to you for our time, guidance, or the consultation itself.

Our compensation does not change the options we present to you — our goal is always to help you find coverage that fits your needs, not to steer you toward any particular product.

Question 2: Do I have to come to your office?

No. You have several meeting options. Appointments may be completed by phone, virtually, or in person at our office. In some situations, depending on the circumstances, we may also be able to meet at a convenient public location such as a local library or coffee shop.

The goal is to make the process comfortable, convenient, and easy to understand.

Question 3: What happens during an appointment?

During your appointment, we complete a review of your needs, goals, and desired outcome.

The conversation depends on what you need help with. For a healthcare or Medicare appointment, we may review your doctors, medications, prescriptions, pharmacy, and current coverage. For life insurance, we may discuss your income, current coverage, work benefits, family needs, debts, and long-term goals.

The purpose is to understand your situation before making any recommendation.

Question 4: What types of insurance and financial solutions do you help with?

We help individuals, families, retirees, and business owners with a range of insurance and financial solutions, including:

⦾ Life Insurance — Term, Permanent, Final Expense, and Juvenile coverage

⦾ Medicare — Medicare Basics, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement/Medigap, and Part D prescription drug coverage

⦾ Retirement Planning — Income strategies, rollovers, and annuity education

⦾ Health Insurance — Marketplace plans, Pre-65 coverage, small business health insurance, and HSAs

⦾ Supplemental Coverage — Hospital indemnity, accident, cancer, disability, and long-term care insurance

If you are not sure which of these applies to you, that is completely normal — we can help you figure that out together.

Question 5: What should I bring to an appointment?

What you need depends on the type of appointment.

For Medicare or healthcare, it may help to have your insurance card, Medicare card if applicable, list of doctors, medications, preferred pharmacy, and any recent plan letters.

For life insurance or retirement planning, it may help to have current policy information, employer benefits, retirement account statements, estimated income and expenses, and any goals or concerns you want to discuss.

If you are unsure what to bring, we can let you know before the appointment.

Question 6: Will you tell me which plan is best?

We will help you compare your options and explain the benefits, costs, limitations, and potential concerns of different plans. However, the final decision is always yours.

Our role is to educate, guide, and help you make a confident decision based on your needs, budget, health situation, family goals, and long-term plans.
